Experienced

The process to gaining membership status is simple.  If you have ANY previous electrical experience and looking either to switch jobs or gain employment with our wages and benefits all you need to do is contact us.  We will set up a mutual meeting, time and date, and from there you can decide if this is the path you wish to go down.  A hands-on evaluation that reflects jobsite specific work will be given so that you have the opportunity to set your own period of pay within our organization.  From that evaluation you will see if you need further training or not.  If you hold a State Journeyman License and your evaluation reflects journeyman status, you are automatically given journeyman classification. If you hold a State Apprentice License, we will classify you as an Alternative Apprentice and we will provide advanced classes to those that lack sufficient knowledge from the evaluated job specifics.  After taking specified classes and obtaining additional on the job training hours you will be upgraded to Journeyman wages and benefits.  That’s right!!  This is a proven pathway to journeyman classification utilizing your previous experiences in the electrical trade.    Note: All periods of pay receive insurance for both you and your entire family at no extra cost.  The employer takes care of your insurance in trade for every hour of service you provide.

No Experience

With no experience an individual can apply at our training facility to start a 5-year apprenticeship program.  Within that 5-year apprenticeship program you will be given a full-time job where you will be trained by a higher classification of worker, a Journeyman.  You will be expected to go through classroom training that will include a minimum of 180 hours of curriculum each year.  At graduation of the 5-year program you will have a total of 10,000 on the job training (OJT) hours and will be need to be registered with the Texas Department of Licensing as a Licensed Journeyman Electrician so that you will be eligible to receive Journeyman wages and benefits.
