IBEW HIRING HALL MESSAGE
DON’T PANIC
Getting laid off is stressful, but you are not alone. The hiring hall exists to get you back to work. Follow the steps below and we’ll help you move to the next job.

Directions of what to do upon termination
If You Get Laid Off
- Keep your termination slip. This is proof of layoff and helps us update your referral status correctly.
- Come down to the hall. As soon as you can, come to the hiring hall front desk and let us know you were laid off.
- Sign (or re-sign) the books. We’ll check your eligibility, update your date, and make sure you’re on the proper book for your classification.
- Ask what’s available today. Staff can show you current calls, upcoming work, and answer questions about travel, shifts, or contractor info.
- Update your contact info. Make sure your phone, email, and address are correct so you don’t miss a call-out or text blast.
